Lending Works ranks 21st in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100
As a platform, we take great pride in all that we've achieved since opening our doors for business nearly six years ago. We’ve facilitated almost £200m in loans (with £80m forecast for 2019 alone), expanded our team to 42 employees, and served more than 30,000 satisfied customers. We've also developed a product range which offers investors invaluable flexibility, coupled with a world-class customer experience powered by our innovative tech team.
Yet it is always especially rewarding to receive external recognition for our efforts, and this week we're honoured to announce that we have been ranked at No. 21 in the prestigious Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100.
Now in its 19th year, the Tech Track 100 ranks the top 100 private tech companies in the country, with the key metric being sales growth over the preceding three years. This league table is collated by Fast Track based on nominations received, and is published in The Sunday Times each September, with an awards dinner in November.
In 2019, Lending Works takes its place among some esteemed tech brands on the list, off the back of a three-year period which has yielded growth of almost 350 per cent. It thus firmly underlines our reputation as a leading digital innovator that has delivered exponential and sustained growth.
A year to remember
It rounds off an impressive haul of accolades over the past 12 months, which has seen the company earn a place in the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50, and also retain our title as 'Best P2P Platform for Investors' at the Moneywise Customer Service Awards for a fourth year in a row.
It is no coincidence that these successes are reflected by some exciting new initiatives we've brought to market recently. Chief among these are new partnerships, an expansion into retail finance, and a fundamental shift in our product mix, which now offers lenders the choice between our Flexible and Growth products. And, with a number of other dynamic projects in the pipeline, we're excited by the fact that our best days very much lie ahead.
But, for now, we're cherishing our inclusion in the Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100, and our CEO Nick Harding was visibly delighted at adding this particular milestone to Lending Works' collection.
"It's a special accomplishment for us to have not only made the cut for the Tech Track 100 for the first time, but also to have ranked so highly on the list," he commented. "This table is the preserve of the UK's most distinguished tech brands, and our presence among them bears testament to the remarkable strides we've made over the past couple of years. I couldn't be prouder of my team, and all the hard work they have put in – they really do deserve all the credit.
"It would also be remiss not to extend a big thank you to our customers, without whom the growth and success we've enjoyed would not be possible. Our unshakeable determination to prioritise our lenders and borrowers in everything we do has enabled us to get to this point, and providing the best possible experience to our customers will continue to underpin our plans for the future.
"Today marks another great feather in our cap, and we look forward to notching up many more as we rapidly ramp up our growth plans for 2020 and beyond."
